Former and current Pittsburgh Steelers were among the invited guests for the grand opening of former Steelers star Jerome Bettis' new restaurant. Grille 36 named after the number he wore as a running back for the Steelers.
Guests included Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward, former Steelers Kordell Stewart and Mike Logan, Steelers President Art Rooney II, former Titans running back Eddie George and Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato.
Located a few hundred yards from Heinz Field, the casual dining spot features a football-shaped bar, 56 flat-screen TVs, a 150-seat patio overlooking the city's downtown and a private suite or owner's box. The eatery is across the street from where Three Rivers Stadium once stood. Bettis played the first five years of his 10 seasons with the Steelers at the stadium, which was demolished in 2001. Bettis is partnering with Celebrity Ventures Inc., of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on the restaurant.
