Three Rookie drivers - Cale Gale, Landon Cassill, and Michael McDowell- from the NASCAR Sprint and NASCAR Nationwide Series will speed into ESPN Zone Thursday, February 28th at 2p for the ESPN Zone Cooking for Rookies competition.
The drivers will learn cooking tricks of the trade from ESPN Zone Executive Chef Tom Keaveny. The event is free and open to the public.
Cooking for Rookies is an Iron-Chef-style competition featuring healthy cooking tips and recipes along with friendly competition. The hour-long session starts with an overview of cooking basics followed by the drivers individually preparing dishes, then a round of judging to see which driver best circled the culinary track.
The judges will be kids from the Las Vegas Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
