Do You Want Sweat With That?
The $5-plus hot dogs that will be sold at Yankee Stadium for the All-Star Game bear little resemblance to the ones sold long ago at Ebbets Field.'); AT the All-Star Game tonight at Yankee Stadium, fans will, as they tend to do at baseball games, eat hot dogs. These hot dogs will probably arrive encased in foil. They will be sanitary. They will meet every possible health standard. And they will bear little resemblance to the hot dogs I sold long ago at another legendary New York ballpark, Ebbets Field.
The NYTimes response to the NYDaily News ex-stadium-vendor story is, frankly, lame, but we at Scoreboard Gourmet do not discriminate against crap stories / story telling (since we know we do it ourselves). So here's the link to the full op ed piece: Doug Kreigel worked at Ebbets Field
p.s. let's not forget that the SG was once a stadium hot dog vendor too. Just saying.
