Colorado players Overeating and Underpaying
Yes this news is a month old but if you haven't noticed I've been pretty busy with baseball this summer. Sheesh. This is the story: The NCAA put Colorado (as in CU) on two years probation and fined them $100,000 - to be paid to a hunger or homeless charity - for undercharging 133 athletes for meals totaling $61,700 over six academic years. They also have to cut one football scholarship for each of the next three seasons. The undercharging, considered a Major Infraction, was supposedly inadvertent.
Here's a link to the Denver Post's version: NCAA penalizes CU for meals violations
First game/time we can see the new uniforms in play: 10am September 1st v Colorado State.
