Jolene Ketzenberger of The Indianapolis Star introduces the world of Indiana microbrews. Can't say I agree with the suggestion of starting with wheat beers (if you've only ever had "Bud, Miller and Coors") but I do support the idea of trying something new.

double stuff racing league: Williams Sisters v Manning Brothers

have you seen that commercial - dueling press conferences - Williams Sisters v Manning Brothers (the professional athletes, not the entire families)? It's funny. And Venus and Serena look amazing, gorgeous. The Mannings are so damn white. But they play their parts well, calling the Williams sisters "copycats." it does concern me that nabsico has decided to leave out the second f in stuff. I can't make sense of that.

in other news, Inside the NFL moved from HBO to Showtime. That stinks. Who can afford two premium channels?

Colts Lucas Oil Stadium Pre-Game Fun

Lucas Oil Stadium is the new RCA Dome and then some. The stadium has a retractable roof. They decide whether to open or close it 90 minutes before game time though it takes only 9-11 minutes to change the position. The stadium has two two-level club lounges and 137 suites and anyone watching the Colts/Bears game knows there's a Oil Can Grill. Details to come. In the meantime, here's some Pre-Game Fun info:

Colts fans are invited to gather outside the southeast corner of Lucas Oil Stadium for the new American Family Fan Zone, a pre-game party area for fans of all ages. The Fan Zone will consist of a variety of games that kids and adults can play, including: Quarterback Throw, Tower Climb, Football Bouncer, Face Painters and more!
The Budweiser Tailgate Tent, also in the area, includes a full pre-game tailgate menu. In addition, The Colts Retail Express Trailer, Colts In Motion (the traveling museum) and a variety of sponsor booths will be on site.

The Fan Zone is located outside the southeast corner of Lucas Oil Stadium on Capitol Avenue (just south of the Sprint East Gate to the stadium)

*There is NO admission fee for the American Family Fan Zone and all elements are open to the public.
*Some elements of the Fan Zone are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.

Oreo Double Stuff Racing League And Eli and Peyton Manning

The Manning Brothers (well, the famous ones) have joined Oreo's Double Stuff Racing League. It's a Lick Racing League. That's a bit strange. You race to see who's the fastest to twist, lick and dunk.

On the site, check out the videos - Peyton can't remember the name of the league (DSRL).

why isn't there cool football ice cream where I live? my team is in the playoffs. sure we're a wildcard but we're out there playing and we like ice cream too.

have you seen it? it's quite funny. they're in their hotel rooms calling the front desk with requests like "can I get enough chili to fill up my bathtub?"
and why is that funny? because they're pranking each other...Peyton asks for the chili as Reggie Bush; Reggie orders a multi-foot-long sub as Peyton.

A guy named Seth Hancock has a series called doing INDY that I found on youtube. Remember when I was crazily obessed a few weeks ago? well, I restrained myself and saved this one for you.

Episode 41 - Blue Crew Sports Grill - is about a large group of tailgaters who partied together for many years and eventually opened a restaurant. Click here for a glimpse.

The Colts are in Dallas tomorrow for their first preseason game. That's Colts v Cowboys at 8pm.
