Jack Daniel's Lounge at McFadden's at Citi Field

In case you're wondering how long it's been since I went to a Mets game, this was my first time at McFadden's at Citi Field. It's a cool space, but I wish there was somehow an upstairs part that looked out on the field. Anyway, inside McFadden's, in a back corner, you can find the Jack Daniel's Lounge. This past weekend they were having $5(!) Jack specials. Just what you need before entering a game. That said, it's the best beverage deal in the ballpark (as you can see by this gorgeous photo).

Noodle Bowl and Bubble Tea at Yankee Stadium

Since I have not yet tasted anything from this Yankee Stadium Field Level concession stand, I will let the pictures do the talking. Prices are what matters most anyway, right?

Yankee Stadium's New Malibu Terrace Deck

My fan guide says The Malibu Terrace Deck is located directly above Gate 6 on the Terrace/Grandstand Level (aka 300-level). My eyes tell me The Malibu Terrace Deck is near section 310. The Yankee Stadium Help people say they don't know.

My fan guide says The Malibu Terrace Deck will have a full bar and grilled food. My eyes tell me there will be coconut rum. The Yankee Stadium Help people (when very much led) say The Malibu Terrace Deck will be like the Jim Beam Suite Outdoor Section (pictured below) except that it will be open to the public. They cannot say what the people-max will be. They cannot say if the area will be roped off. They cannot say much about The Malibu Terrace Deck.

George Thorogood at Yankee Stadium

When I was in high school I went to see George Thorogood. Yeah, I'm pretty young. My friends and I definitely thought 1 Bourbon, 1 Scotch, 1 Beer was a really cool song. We didn't realize it was about a degenerate who couldn't pay rent not just because he was drunk but because he was a drunk. I have to believe that the Yankees don't realize that either.

Latin Food at Yankee Stadium

Remember when I used to get all excited about the guava juice at the Goya stand at Old Yankee Stadium? I did. Now I'm all excited about the Bubble Tea at the noodles stand in the field level, but first I want to tell you about the Latin Food stand. Yes this is exactly how my brain works.

Mohegan Sun Sports Bar and Bleachers Cafe at Yankee Stadium

Sitting in the Yankee Stadium Bleachers just got a whole lot better - Welcome Beers of the World to this side of the world. Limited selection - Stella, Hoegaarden, Becks, Czechwar - but that's Amazingly Good News. $11. Most are Cash Only. Enjoy your beer at a Bleachers Cafe table, none of which have a decent view of the game. More on this Yankee Stadium Beer Upgrade later.

Now, let's talk about what makes the Mohegan Sun Sports Bar Less exciting this year? This season you can get cocktails in the field level Food Court - Frozen Margs, Pina Coladas, Strawberry Daiquris $13 or $15 in a fancy, skinny, spring-breaky cup. $11 for other drinks, the liquor kind. I have more to say about this too. Come back.

Arnold Palmer Makes an Arnold Palmer in excellent ESPN commercial

Watch the Twins in the first game in their new ballpark today on ESPN. I love that this counts as Golf coverage for me. Think my last Golf coverage was also about iced tea+lemonade. I probably shouldn't have that category. Here's some actual Golf coverage - isn't there enough money in Golf to spray some self-tan on Phil Mickelson's forehead before the Green Jacket ceremony? Kind of a big moment for such a major distraction.

Delta Sky360 Club at Citi Field, Brisket Sandwiches

USHG is a consultant to Aramark and the Mets regarding the food and drink at the Delta Sky360 Club (field level behind home plate). There's a dining room (reservations required), a bar/lounge, a buffet called The Market (featuring, duh, Blue Smoke, Box Frites, El Verano Taqueria, and pizza, salad, burgers), and/or you can get In-Seat delivery.

These Beef Brisket Sandwiches (pictured) are available in this 1600-seat area. One day SG will sit inside and tell you all about it. Maybe this season. Thinking it will be so.

Delta Sky Club Cocktails at Citi Field

The Red Eye (a spicy bloody mary) and The Don Q Home Rum Punch, which reminds me I need to tell you about the *new* Field Level Rum Bar.
