Here's why the internet is so great...I was searcing for something completely unrelated to Scoreboard Gourmet and I found something on winexmagazine.com that's perfect for me (and You):
The Wine X Guide to Gourmet Eats at the Country's Tastiest Ballparks (!):
Anaheim Angels
Shredded-beef tamales.
Arizona Diamondbacks
Find the “Fielder’s Choice” farmers’ market or slurp down a smoothie. For a little less sobriety, try the Sonora and Fat Tire microbrews.
Atlanta Braves
Why brave a hot dog when there’s grilled chicken, veggie wraps, fruit and cheese plates, and fresh fruit smoothies? The park also features an upscale wine bar on the Lexus Level, with bison burgers straight from bison raised on Ted Turner’s ranch.
Baltimore Orioles
Pick up BBQ chicken sandwiches, BBQ chicken wraps, smoothies, fresh fruit salads and veggie wraps. Wash it all down with Talus semillon-chardonnay, Talus cabernet or any of 13 microbrew beers like Clipper City IPA and Wild Goose Porter.
Boston Red Sox
Sox fiends crave California rolls, grilled chicken sandwiches, and Hilltop steak and turkey tip sandwiches.
Chicago White Sox
Dine on grilled chicken breast sandwiches, veggie burgers, Italian beef sandwiches, chicken gyros, steak pitas and fresh fruit.
Cincinnati Reds
They’re playing in a new ballpark this season, so they’ve gone a little crazy at the concessions, adding smoked salmon, grilled lamb, veggie dogs and chicken rice rolls.
Cleveland Indians
Chicken fajita salads, veggie burgers, fruit salads, grilled chicken breast and salmon sandwiches and fried shrimp baskets compete for fans’ affections with the classic Cleveland treat — pierogies.
Colorado Rockies
Skip the Rocky Mountain oysters and go for New York strip steak sandwiches, veggie wraps, buffalo burgers, buffalo hot dogs and Chinese chicken salad. The park also boasts the first microbrewery inside a U.S. sporting facility.
Detroit Tigers
Bavarian cream churros — yum!
Florida Marlins
Cuban sandwiches (crusty bread toasted with boiled ham, roast pork, salami, Swiss cheese and pickles) and high-octane Cuban coffee to wash it down.
Houston Astros
Beeline for breast of chicken sandwiches, crab cakes (when the Giants are in town), fish tacos (when San Diego is the visiting team), fresh fruit juices, Vendange wines (chardonnay, zinfandel and cabernet) and local microbrews like Fat Tire and St. Arnold’s.

I haven't heard any updated news on the planned October 6th wedding of Ian Kennedy, and I'm pretty sure he's not on the playoff roster, but I feel like mentioning it/him anyway. The wedding was scheduled to be in Kirkwood, Missouri, which is easy to get to from Cleveland.
Torre, about a month ago, said he wasn't aware of the potential conflict. Here's my favorite part of his statement: "I didn't get one of the invitations," he said. "We just hope his prospective wife is very understanding."
Kennedy is marrying USC basketball player (year 5) Allison Jaskowiak. Imagine planning a 200ish person event around two sports schedules? I wonder what's on the menu?
Best wishes to the athletic twosome. The Yankees and Indians play tonight at 5pm at the Jake (see pic).
first of all..ohmgod that stinks
second of all...I'd be enjoying Bertman's Ballpark Mustard
I'm not happy about that run but I have only good things to say about the Jake
now I must get back to the tv
yikes!
True it's 6.5miles from the home of the Browns, but so what? Every time I leave home I realize that everyone in the world has a car. And, anyway, Melt Bar and Grilled is awesome. And I don't even like Fat bread. In fact, I sort of Hate Fat bread but I still love this grilled cheese restaurant in greater Clev
eland (technically Lakewood). May I repeat: Grilled Cheese Restaurant. They have some 20 different grilled cheeses that all come with fries and slaw. It's heavenly.
Pictured front is the Grilled Peanut Butter & Banana which has PB, berry preserves, cream cheese, and banana. Behind it is Wake & Bacon: fried egg, bacon, American cheese.
Even if the restaurant's walls were not covered with sports memorabilia, I'd still tell you to run to Lakewood and have a grilled cheese before or after the game. You can ride along the water to/from the Browns Stadium.

The Browns are home v the Ravens at 1pm on 9/30. The Indians (also not far) next home game is TBD.
So what if it's small tv #9 and not one of the big tvs? and so what if you're surrounded by Mets and Yankees fans? at least you can get off your couch to watch the Indians play. and the beer is cold and the burgers are pretty good too. I'm talking about Cody's in Cobble Hill. and I bet if the Indians play the Yankees the games will be on a big tv :)
The AL Central Division Champion Indians start a series in Seattle tonight at 10:05 (PT).
Cody's American Bar & Grill
154 Court Street
Brooklyn, NY
The Indians are off today but tomorrow they start a 2-game series v the Tigers. Remember SG was out there when they last played Detroit at home? Click if you missed it: everything Indians at SG
More importantly, tomorrow night is Dollar Dog Night at Jacobs Field. That means hot dogs at all concession stands are $1. And, according to Mistake by the Lake Dollar Dog Night is great "because there are virtually no lines at any of the "specialty" concessions stands." That's good Scoreboard Gourmet info.
p.s. yes I am again having some technical difficulties and the above is the best accessible picture from the Jake.
Obviously I am going to acknowledge A-Rod. Too bad I was watching that ball soar into left field, and not photographing it. Clearly still photography is my thing (with the exception of that one Bonds hit). Anyway, this excellent photo was taken much later in the game, when the hit had been hit, and Yankees were way ahead, and half the stadium had cleared. Nice fans.
It must have been 94° for the first half of the game. Consequently I drank much water and ate only a few peanuts and a few cracker jacks. I do wish that I could bring in my own water, but was dehydrated enough to have no problem paying $4.50 per bottle, four times.
just have to add: wow are the Royals Lame! they did not clap for A-Rod. holy poor sportsmanship you losers. you can't applaud a fellow athlete? you just proved yourselves out of his league. I don't even like A-Rod and I was cheering. it's called an accomplishment...something you might remember from, oh, 1985.
speaking of peanuts...tonight when my parents, sister, her husband, and a friend of mine join TFMJ and me in the Bronx at 7:05pm, we will compare and contrast peanuts from the Cleveland Indians, the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Norfolk Tides, the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees, and the Yankees Yankees. Come back tomorrow to find out which peanuts we liked best, and why.
in the meantime, which stadium do You think has the best peanuts?
