Bricks for Sale - this isn't about food but it is about the Mets

My infant nephew has not yet been to a Mets game but I am certain his father already considers him to be a fan which is why I'm considering buying him a brick that will be part of the "fanwalk" at Citi Field. Did you take a breath while reading that?

"Fans will be able to recognize their family, friends and favorite Mets moments through lasting tributes engraved directly onto the bricks of the plaza outside of the Jackie Robinson Rotunda," says the Mets website. Recognize? Was that the best word to use? Anyway, I think the last thing way-too-gigantic Citi needs is a stadium to manage, but that's just me.

NYC Loves and Feeds NASCAR

is it really a good idea to schedule the Tree Lighting on the same day 10 NASCAR drivers will take a 1.5-mile "victory lap" through midtown? yikes. yes that's happening tomorrow.

Thursday is the NASCAR/National Motorsports Press Association Myers Brothers Lunch at Cipriani on 42nd Street. That lunch will honor the Nextel Cup Chase drivers, champions NASCAR's racing series and Nextel Cup drivers who won seasonal awards.
Then there's dinner for NASCAR's champions at the Waldorf-Astoria.
But Friday is the BIG night (at least for Jimmie Johnson) - the 2007 Nextel Cup awards ceremony (and dinner), also at the Waldorf. ESPN Classic will air the ceremony at 9pm.

This week is NASCAR's 27th annual Champions Week, fyi, and just because I'm naming lunches and dinners doesn't mean I (or You) will be attending any of them...but maybe there's a plate for Rudy.

How many hours was he there? This is so funny. He had to eat all that, huh? Sounds to me like his chubby ex-self wants to return so he can more clearly represent America. Does he call himself skinny to keep himself in check? Did he call himself skinny when he barfed up his fair fare?

If I had the time I would start a new site that keeps a scoreboard of all the crap the candidates eat in the name of campaigning.

Fancy Nets Seats include AYCE (and drink)

I have no idea why the Nets call their premium courtside seats "Hollywood Seats" (because they only sell them to movie stars?) but I do know the tickets come with AllYouCanEat and Drink. Same goes for the Loge and Courtside Suites, and the lesser ADT courtside seats. Now I just need to figure out what they serve in there. Anyone know?

Rams Griller of the Game

A Representative of the Rams will be taking pictures prior to each Rams home game of fans grilling with their Johnsonville products and uploading them here. One winner will be picked each week as the Johnsonville Griller of the Game and can win prizes including Schnucks gift certificates, autographed Rams merchandise, Johnsonville Brats for a year and more! AYCE in Phoenix; HOWL!

The Phoenix Coyotes (yes that's a real NHL team) have a 5 game AYCE package. That means unlimited hot dogs, soft drinks, popcorn, peanuts and nachos today(!) when they play the Maple Leafs at 5pm, and also December 7th (v Sharks), 29th (v Red Wings), January 19th (v Blackhawks) and February 16th (v Kings)

The All You Can Eat Upper Level package is $150 ($30 per game) and includes an upper level ticket regularly priced at $28. A Lower Level package is $275 ($55 per game) and includes a lower level ticket regularly priced at $55.
